Grasstains offers an irrigation assessment as an introductory look at your irrigation system. If you're unsure of the functioning of your system, we advise you to select an irrigation assessment. An assessment includes looking at the major components of the system and assessing how functional the system is at this current time.

Grasstains will recommend if you qualify for an irrigation membership and the cost or fee associated with your assessment will be applied towards your membership should you qualify. If your system is non-functional and the assessment proves that you need extensive irrigation repair and or a new irrigation system, Grasstains will be happy to provide a free cost estimate for the modification and or installation of a new system. Please allow for a few days’ response time for new system estimates. If you have a current operational irrigation system you are welcome to book an irrigation membership which will include auto dispatch for both spring turn on and winterization of your current system up to eight irrigation zones.

This assessment cost is $150. This fe can be applied toward your irrigation subscription membership if you choose to enroll in our Irrigation Maintenance Subscription.

No, you do not need to be home for irrigation turn on or turn off. However, we do recommend that you be available by phone and that your controller must be accessible and unlocked as well as all valves and points of connection must be accessible and unlocked for the technician to properly turn on or turn off your system. Should we be unable to access your system including the controller and or the backflow, you may be assessed a hundred dollar remobilization fee to access those items.

All irrigation memberships include automated dispatch of turn-on and turn-off. We typically will send out communication and notification of your turn-on in early April, completing all turn-ons by the end of May. We will begin turning off systems at the end of October, and we'll have all systems turned off before the first frost in November. Irrigation memberships can be purchased year-round however please note if you are signing up for service after May 30th or after November 1st service response times may be delayed up to 2 weeks after your desired service date.

Grasstains recommends a summer audit to improve the performance of your system. Minor irrigation repairs and service work can be opted into a maximum value of $500 should you wish to have technicians perform minor edits repairs and functionality and address functionality issues at the time of service. To auto-opt into irrigation repairs and service work, please talk to your irrigation technician at the time of service or indicate this option at the time of sign-up.

Grasstains will turn on your irrigation system. In our basic membership up to eight zones of irrigation are included. This price includes pressurizing your system at your point of connection, turning on your controller and programming for the season, as well as identifying and mapping with a basic outline of zones in all areas of active irrigation. If any zones have a leak or need repair or improvement, your technician will report to you a full-service report of the assessment at the time of service.

Yes, Grasstains will do a full assessment of your system. Should there be any improvements such as water savings, head-to-head coverage improvements, drip irrigation improvements, and or system modification or modernization, your irrigation technician will recommend all services at the time of your spring turn-on or winterization.

Grasstains guarantees all new systems we install for up to one year. Grasstains does not offer any extended warranty on systems we do not install. However, we are happy to assess and monitor your existing system and make modification recommendations. If you engage Grasstains to install a new system or modify and update new zones of irrigation, Grasstains warranties all new workmanship for a period of one year.
