Grant Park
Synthetic Putting Green

Grant Park is a charming tree-lined residential neighborhood known for its strong sense of community, historic homes, and lots of green spaces. It is also the home of its namesake Grant Park which features a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a community garden, and a swimming pool.

One of the playful amenities not available in Grant Park is a golf course so our clients decided to take that local limitation into their own hands and build one into the design and build of their backyard landscaping. As you can see, the result is fun, inviting, and all-around awesome.

Something that might not be wholly evident from the images is that this little golf gem in the middle of the city is also highly serviceable and oh so easy to maintain because it is built with carefree synthetic lawn on both the putting green and surrounding grassy approaches to the green. This assures that it will be fun for years to come even though it is in the midst of the shady spaces offered by the mature trees in the yard.

In addition to the putting green, the Grasstains team added an easy-going feel with unstructured stone paths and aggregate areas, shade-loving landscape planting, and a custom fence to add privacy, safety, and a little bit of mystery to the space.
