Eliot Neighborhood Backyard
There are many advantages to city living, but a plethora of yard space is not usually one of them. So, when it comes to landscaping in Portland, it’s important to be thoughtful and deliberate about the design to maximize the space you have.
This was the approach we used for the landscape design of a small backyard in Northeast Portland’s Eliot neighborhood. The owners wanted to be able to use the part of the yard nearest the house as an extension of their living space, while also having a small place for raised gardening beds.
To create the perfect urban backyard, we employed several of our garden feature services, including the installation of a fire feature and impressive hardscapes, stone masonry, garden structure design for raised beds, and planting design for filling them. The look was completed with steel edging and fencing, resulting in the well-organized, attractive, and functional use of a small backyard space.
